It also marks the first time the chain has gone head to head with the competition: the Orlando SuperT is located approximately a half mile away from a new Wal-Mart supercenter. In fact, Wal-Mart pushed up the grand opening of its location by two weeks in order to beat Target and be the first halliween supercenter in the neighborhood.But the specter of competition did little to dampen the crowds at the SuperT. Shoppers thronged to the official grand opening on Oct. 10, even though the store had soft-opened five days before. Located on the costumes opposite side of town from adult Orlando''s tourist spots, the SuperT is clearly gunning for halliween local costumes residents in this rapidly expanding, upper-middle-class residential community.
